while Community Builder can be shared I noticed that the profile book plugin for CB which is being displayed as a new tab on CB profiles cannot.

the plugin creates a new table, #__comprofiler_plug_profilebook.

Send us this extension in attachement of an email (see contact us).
We will add the definition into the next patches definition.

We have retreived the profile book plugin for CB.
This plugin is installed under CB and effectivelly add a table #__comprofiler_plug_profilebook.

If you have a look in the rule used to share CB, you can see that is use "#__comprofiler_%" that means all tables starting with "#__comprofiler_".
So I don't understand why you say that the table is not shared.

Can you be more explicit why you say that the table is not shared.

on my test session I have signed 'my' guestbook on the master site using a different user

if I now log in as myself again and look at my profile both at the master and the slave site the new guestbook entry is available in the master but not in the slave
