TOPIC: Created new slave, but unable to install

Created new slave, but unable to install 14 Years, 6 Months ago Karma: 0
I created the new slave as a subdomain, which I had previously created so my host settings automatically created a folder for this subdomain.

My server does allow Unix Symbolic Links.

Then i go to the subdomain and it simply shows the folder structure empty:

.... It's so disappointing whenever you invest in a component and not only it doesn't function as expected, but it is also difficult to contact support for it...

Ok, now I'm getting the following:

After creation of the new slave site, I then go to my host domain manager and route it to the suggested DNS Mapping, but doing this doesn't make much sense to me since I already know the outcome is what I got above, a screen with the cache folder and one config file.

If your hosting provider does not allow symbolic links, in this case, this mean that JMS does not provide you the possibility to deploy the slave site into a specific directory.

Therefore you have to setup you HTTP Server admin tool to have exactly the same directory than you master website to share it "root" directory.
You can NOT provide the multisites directory as you can not deploy links.

So update your subdomain configuration in your HTTP Server administration tool (cPanel or other) to use the same directory than the master
