TOPIC: Load Balancing
#3887
Load Balancing 14 Years, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi,

I am considering purchasing CMS Multisite. One concern we have is the ability to load balance our sites managed under it. How would we load balance your solution? Is all configuration saved in the database(s)? The more details you can give, the better.

Thanks,

Mike

None of the configuration are saved in the DB because JMS need to have all the information to be able get the appropriate DB connection depending the results of JMS.
So all the configuration are stored in files on the disk.

Concerning the load balancing, one part of it concerns the DB connections and the server on which server they are located.
As the PHP code is shared, you can not really split it in different server.

So the load balancing is more based on the DB load balancing that you can manage as usual.
You can create websirte into separated DB.
One element that you must take care concerning the DB is related to the sharing of extension as some content might be located in a single DB.
