TOPIC: Apply Patch Error

Apply Patch Error 9 Years ago Karma: 0
Hi, how are you doing?

I'm trying to use JMS with Joomla 3.4.5, but I get a few errors in the beginning of the configuration.

First, I tridd to apply a patch, got this error:
www.dropbox.com/s/d7clzftfv2k4tzh/patch_jms.png?dl=0

Then I tried to install either, but I got another errors:

Warning: require_once(DSlibraries/import.legacy.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/weber960/jms/administrator/includes/framework.php on line 16

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required 'DSlibraries/import.legacy.php' (include_path='.:/opt/php54/lib/php') in /home/weber960/jms/administrator/includes/framework.php on line 16

The first error is effectivelly related to the fact that the JMS version is not found.
This might be the symptom that you had an error when you installed JMS.
This is probably due to the fact that the "multisites.xml" file is not present in the administrator/components/com_multisites directory or that you have a problem of permission to access this file.

The second error require_once(DSlibraries/import.legacy.php)
if due to the fact that "DS" is not defined.
Try to know the hierarchy of the calls to identify the caller and therefore the context.
This let suppose that an initialization is missing somewhere.

DS is a define used under J1.5 and that were remove by joomla a long time ago.
Most of the extension redefine it to keep the compatiility with older joomla version.
So identifying the call hierarchy will help to identify where the initialization might be missing.

Hi how are you?

We received your answer, but we are unable to update patches and thus could not follow as our project to use the MULTI-SITES JMS component VERSION 1.3 FULL. When requesting installation, joomla website is conrropindo and lost all the joomla installation. I ask you to help us with this issue.

Problem solved.
Updated the version of the component and can usually make the patches.
