TOPIC: Fatal Error on Joomla! 3.2
#11816
Fatal Error on Joomla! 3.2 10 Years, 10 Months ago Karma: 0
I've setup a 3.2 site, with JMS2WIN on it. Creating the site is fine, but when I add the menu item Multi Sites ยป List all slave sites, I get a white screen, which generally indicates a 500 error.

In looking at my server logs, it actually looks like it's due to a missing file:

[Sat Jan 18 13:27:33 2014] [error] [client xx.xxx.xx.xxx] File does not exist: /home/xxxxxx/public_html/media/jui/js/jquery-1.10.2.min.map, referer: somesite.com/index.php?option=com_multis...=edit&Itemid=138

I looked at the media/jui folder on my server, and that file doesn't exist, and I even checked the zip file from the most recent Joomla! 3.2 release, and that file doesn't exist in the archive.

Which is your JMS version ?
If you don't have the latest JMS 1.3.27, I recommend that you update it to work with Joomla 3.2.1
See FAQ on the procedure to get the latest version.

I just tested again, but with a complete fresh install:

Joomla! 3.2.1 Stable - Full
JMS 1.3.27 - FULL (Latest available: 1.3.27)
Patches definition version 1.3.23 (Latest available: 1.3.23)

No additional templates or extensions have been installed. This is RAW fresh copy of Joomla! with JMS.

When I add Multi-Sites --> List all slave sites to the main menu and attempt to access it, I get the "white screen of death". The same happen with frontend creation when attempting to send an email regarding successful site creation.

It looks like there's a bug.

I can not confirm you this is a bug because if that was the case, all our customers would have the same problem under J3.2 and I can tell you this is not the case.

If you have a blank page, in general, this is due to a PHP fatal error.
The origin of that might be a problem with a permission on a file;
A function that is not available in the environment and that cause problem (perhaps linked to the PHP version ? JMS works on PHP 5.3 and 5.4 - not yet tested under PHP 5.5

Search for a "error_log" to get more info on the reason (origin) of the error

If you want that I do the installation on your environment, this is also possible with our billable support that you can order at
