We just upgraded to 1.3.09 - FULL and unfortunately got error after patching

Notice: Constant JPATH_COMPONENT already defined in /home/canadare/subdomains/master/public_html/components/com_community/community.php on line 12

how would you solve this issue?

The issue seems located in JomSocial.

Would you please send us the JoomSocial package that you use in the attachment of an email and also mention the JomSocial version number.

is it save to not patch this file till issue will be solved?

Fix the JPATH_COMPONENT computation used by ajax call. Replace the dirname by JPATH_BASE./components/XXXXX path.

Actions:

Replace 1 line containing the new define value.

Remove the patch will not change the notice message but will have the impact to have a wrong path for JomSocial.

The message is a "NOtice" and not an error.
In addition, it reports that JPATH_COMPONENT is ALREADY defined in the line 12 but you didn't mentioned the file for which the notice is reported.

You have another file that report this "notice" message because it is already defined in JomSocial.

This is the other file (ie. plugin or module) that should be fixed to test if JPATH_COMPONENTS is already defined.
