Slave Site - INSTL_ERROR_INITIALISE_SCHEMA error 11 Years, 1 Month ago Karma: 0
Im using JMS Multisite 1.2.94 and i tried to create a slave site.

Steps I did...

1. Installed JMS Multisite extension in Joomla 2.5.6 based website
2. Ran the patches and all said OK
3. Created a slave template
4. Created a slave website - slave1
5. Clicked on the slave website link and it opened the new window with joomla install page
6. After entering Database info and clicked next, it shows "INSTL_ERROR_INITIALISE_SCHEMA" error in the same page but it created the tables in the database. The installation is not going forward with the next step.

I tried by providing the same & new database details but both created the tables and displays the same error.

Can anyone let me know whats the issue and solution for the same?

Thanks in advance!

As you have message not translated NSTL_ERROR_INITIALISE_SCHEMA
I suspect that you are using a Joomla that is not english.

I suspect that the /installation directory that was present in your original joomla is not the same as the one that is present in JMS and that is restored when the /installation directory does not exists.

I suggest that you remove the current /installation directory and that you restore the /installation that is present in the joomla package (zip).
After that, you can execute again the "check partches" and a file should be patched.

Retry creating the slave site and it whoudl work.

You can also get the latest version 1.2.97 and retry with the latest Joomla 2.5.9
See FAQ for the procedure to get the latest version.

This error message seem occurs when the joomla update SQL files are not present.

When there is no SQL file (*.sql) in the directory administrator/components/com_admin/sql/updates/mysql/
then joomla report this error.

So verify that the directory exists and that the permission is OK and that there is at least SQL files.
