Unsharing Users, VIEW still present 10 Years, 11 Months ago Karma: 1
Hi Edwin,

Hopefully this is easy. I was having user issues as the users were being shared between sites. Here are the steps I did:

  1. I unshared users in the master template.

  2. I open and saved the master site - However the Refresh icon still exists!

  3. I opened and saved the rest of the sites that have the refresh icon, those go away.

However, I test with a couple of sites and not ALL sites have the VIEWS when I list them in cPanel.
The master site of the template seems to have a database view attached to it but it doesn't show up in the list. I think it does still have a VIEW attached to the users tables because when I add a user to one of the other sites, it shows up in the master template site. I can't seem to detach these VIEWS.

What do I do?

When you let the cursor over the refresh icon, you can see the tooltip.
It means that the number of table is different.
So to know exactly which is the difference between 2 websites, you can use the JMS Tools menu / table tabs.

The fact that open/re-save a slave site definition does not mean that the refresh icon will automatically disappear.
When you have tables that are present in a slave site but not present in his parent then this is normal that you keep the "refresh icon".
This is the case, for example, when you uninstall something in the parent and that you have forgotten to uninstall it in the slave site before the parent.

So use the JMS tools to see the difference between the websites.

OKay, that has to do with tables but what about the VIEWS on the users?

If you want to remove the sharing and remove the VIEW, you need to modify the rule that you used to create the slave (or create a new rule if it is used by other slave) to replace the sharing by non sharing (sharing = none).

When done, you can use PHPMyAdmin to drop all the views and after Open/Resave the slave site definition to rebuild the slave site with the new sharing definition = none.
This will create a copy of the tables instead of creating the views
