The concept of JMS is based on the sharing and NOT on the duplication of content that require synchronization.
JMS does NOT contain anything to synchronize.
When JMS share the content of an extension, it creates a kind of link between a MySQL table from a site to another one.
This is managed by MySQL and decided when the slave site is created.

When the slave site is create with a sharing, you can see the link via the JMS Tool menu.
Click on the slave site and you should see the hierarchy and dependencies and also the links between the MySQL tables
