Legacy site as a slave site and its images 10 Years ago Karma: 0
I found my way to your tutorial about creating a slave site with specific folders for media, images, and templates.

I have some questions...

Your video is from Joomla 1.5, and is a bit confusing because you refer to a media directory and an images directory. But you don't use the actual Joomla "media" directory.

I'll assume you are saying media directory because you associate that with the Media Manager?

Also, in J3 there is no stories directory, so it's confusing.

Since I am importing an existing legacy site as a child site and want to have separate content, do I have to manually copy all of my site images into the images directory, keeping the structure of subdirectories and files within the images directory intact?

If I copy everything in my legacy images directory, will the image paths in my legacy articles still work?
