TOPIC: Create New "Template Site"

Create New "Template Site" 10 Years, 10 Months ago Karma: 0
Edwin,

We are creating some slave sites from a new master site than the one we initially setup. When we create a new slave site it is being created based off the first master site and not the second master site. In this second master site, we have done a db cleanup, a users cleanup and a content cleanup that mimics how we would like each slave site to look out upon creation.

If I look at the multisites template used to create the slave, in the #1 box "New Website DB Parameters" the first field lets me select <Mastersite>. However, it is pointed to the first master site. We require that this point to the second master site.

How do we create a new "Template Site"?

If the rule described in the JMS template is almost the same as the one that you expect except the source website then you can start by using the "New Like" button to replicate the rule that is the closest of what you want.

So select the rule on which you want to get inspired and click on the "New Like" button.
When done, update the name of the rule (don't forget to do it or you will update the previous one) and after select another website that you want to use as template site.
When done, save the new rule.
