Hi,
We're going to be launching several overlapping Jomsocial 4 websites. We need users to be able to select which of the sites they want their profiles to appear on, and change these later if they wish or if we add new sites. The profiles also need different fields showing on different communities.
Is it possible to do this with JMS Multi Sites?

This is not possible with JomSocial but this is possible with EasySocial.
JomSocial only provides full sharing and therefore and therefore is only able to share the whole content between the website.
Recently (JMS 1.3.42), EasySocial (v1.3.16+) implemented the partial sharing and now, you can have partial sharing on the user provide, group categories and event categories.

No news. The partial sharing with JomSocial is not a functionality that the author of JomSocial want to include in their product.
Perhaps that you could try to request them again and if a lot of people request that, perhaps they will change their mind.
