We have registered version of JMS 1.2.8 installed in Joomla1.5.20

Our URl Master Site URL is usentrepreneurtoday.com/

for which we have different slave sites like

newyork.usentrepreneurtoday.com/

pennsylvania.usentrepreneurtoday.com/

When we access the national site url "usentrepreneurtoday.com/", some times the url displayed is displayed with a sub domain name which we have not created.

For eg. "test.usentrepreneurtoday.com/"

We are not able to find why test is placed. Not only the address bar has this url, but also all the internal links of that page opens with this url.

Note: we have setup sub domains by using the wild card character (*). Does using of this wildcard character causes the problem? Can we use wildcard characters for setting up sub domains or we should mention correct sub domain name

In your HTTP Server and apache, you can use the wildcard to recognize any subdomain and assign it to a "document root".

In JMS, you can not put the wildcard (*) character in the domain name as it will not be received.
JMS perform an exact matching and is also case sensitive.

So if you have a "test.domain.com" that is displayed, this is because you have setup your HTTP Server (apache) to recognize this subdomain and have a specifial processing for that.

Verify you cPanel subdomain definition or other HTTP server administation tool (plesk, ...)
