Joomla 1.7.3
Joomla Multi Sites version: 1.2.69
Patches definition version: 1.2.73

When trying to deploy a new site I get the following message:

500 - An error has occurred.

JDatabase::getInstance: Could not connect to database
joomla.library:3 - Could not connect to database

Return to Control Panel


I didn't have this problem until I recently updated Joomla and JMS

Any sugggestions?

Check the DB parameters that you have provided for the slave site.
I suspect that you have a wrong value.
Perhaps simply a wrong user name or password.

Verify also that patches are installed.
You can go directly in the "Multi Sites / check patches" menu

I'm trying to isolate the problem at the moment.

I'm 100% sure the username and password are correct.

So I did a separate fresh install of the previous version of Joomla(1.7.1) I had.
Then installed jms 1.2.69, setup my template just like the working site had, and I still receive the same error.

I've been working with my host, but we've been unable to find the issue to this point.

I wanted to also try installing an older version of jms, but I guess I deleted it after I downloaded the newest version. I don't remember the version number I had, but I do know I first downloaded JMS multisite on 10/07/11. Is there any way to re-download an older version? I don't see anywhere on your site to do so.

It is not possible to download an older version of JMS.
I have a backup of all the older versions but this is not online.

The 7-oct-2011, that was probably the version 1.2.66
