TOPIC: Error on a slave site install extensions

Error on a slave site install extensions 13 Years, 9 Months ago Karma: 0
I installed akeeba backup on the master site, no problem.

I can't get permission to install akeeba backup on slave sites!

I get the following error on a blank page:

-1 - An error has occurred
It was not possible to copy the selected file.

I have experienced this error with a few extensions.

We do I find the logs error files, for more information?

Regards

if you are using cPanel, it generally create a "error_log" file in the root directory or in the administrator directory.

In Plesk, the "error_log" file is generally located in /statistics/logs directory of your domain name root directory (beside the httpdocs).

If you are using another HTTP Server administration tool try finding the location in the "httpd.conf" or "vhost.con" or similar file that describe the domain or subdomain.
There you should find the location where the "document error" is created.

I have my own server from Qnap.

I have not found the files yet.

But I'ts okey with extensions akeeba backup, since it is installed on the Master Site and make backups of everything.

Is't normal that some extensions canĀ“t be installed on the Joomla/slave1/administrator, but only on the Master Joomla/administrator page??

If the Akeeba backup is not installed in your slave site, perhaps you coud have a look in the JMS Tool menu to install it.

Just for your information, we never succeeded to perform an accurate backup with Akeeba backup. So if you succeed, perhaps you could post the procedure here.
We don't know how to perform a correct backup of the symbolic links and also how to perform a correct backup that share extensions.

If you want a procedure to perform an accurate backup, see our FAQ
