Hi Edwin,

this problem is repeatable!

I'm sending you another email to capture all the screens for your reference.

In building this slave site, I also discover another problem.

In the same setting as the screen captures I'm going to send you, the JMS seems unable to create a new database name s103, I got this error message during creation of the slave site:

"Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to database"

Then I login phpmyadmin with the same DB username and DB password, and create manually s103. Then JMS can create the slave site s103 successfully.

But I'm sure JMS and I are using the same DB username and DB password.

Would you advise me what is the possible cause?

Many thanks.

Concerning the creation of a DB dynamically, you will see in other post that you have to provide a MySQL user that has the permission.
You can also provide the MySQL root login in the multisites.cfg.php as explained in the user manual.

So provide a MySQL user that has enough permission to create dynamically a DB.

Concerning the creation of a DB, the MYSQL user I used is already having all privileges! Same as root.

In facts, I'm not creating a new DB user. I just create a new DB.

Any clues? You can refer to all the configuration details in my previous screen capture sent to you.

Many thanks.

Concerning the template folder that is not correctly copied, we have fixed it in the JMS 1.2.10 that we have just released.
So you can download it using the get latest version as explained in the FAQ
www.jms2win.com/faq#sec-122

Concerning the DB that is not created, If I see correctly your screen, it seems that you try to replicate a site "s103" that has the MySQL user = joomla.

So you have to check that your MySQL user joomla has all the privilegese to create dynamically a DB.

Becarefull when you say that the user has all the privileges.
If you are using a tool like cPanel that display "ALL PRIVILEGES", this is wrong.
This does not correspond to MySQL native all the privileges.

Hi Edwin,

Thanks so much for the prompt release of the new patch. I will test it after the MYSQL user problem is solved.

Concerning the MYSQL user problem, I use phpmyadmin, it displays the user "joomla" as "ALL PRIVILEGES".

Still don't know what goes wrong...

I don't see any other solution than debug the code on your server.
If you want that we do it on your server, this is possible with our billable support that you can order on
