I installed Multi Sites 1.2.8 on Joomla 1.5.14.
Plesk 8.6
When I went to the admin screen I saw the top menu and nothing below it.
When I turned errors on I go this:

Warning: Missing argument 2 for JUser::authorize(), called in /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/administrator/components/com_multisites/admin.multisites.php on line 37 and defined in /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/libraries/joomla/user/user.php on line 257

I ran check patches, but same result.
Apparently the core would not patch. Are there instructions so I can patch them manually?

Help?

Does the patch installer use JFTP?
If not, why not?

Concerning the error reported on admin.multisites.php on line 37 corresponds to a call for Joomla 1.6! and not for Joomla 1.5.14.
It seems that you have a joomla 1.6 version file.
The global joomla version number returned is >= 1.6 or another extension change the JVERSION environment parameter.
So it seems that you have a Joomla 1.5.14 installed and that the version number provided is 1.6 or higher (that is inconsistent).

JMS is able to install files using the Joomla FTP Layer.
So if you have enabled the FTP connection in the global configuration, it will be used by JMS to perform the installation.
See tutorial video 15 that show how to use the FTP Layer.

My apologies for messing with the Joomla core.
I added my own internal version number to the Joomla number so I could keep track of feature sets on sites....which will be solved by JMS.

Overwrote the version file with the standard file from Joomla 1.5.14 and we're all set.
