TOPIC: Sermon Speaker 3.4.1
#4681
Sermon Speaker 3.4.1 14 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello
I had previously paid for the integration of the SermonSpeaker component but it seems like the latest releases of that component are no longer compatible.

Is it possible for you to update your patch code please?

Here is the link to their latest releases:

joomlacode.org/gf/project/sermon_speaker/frs/

Thank you.

Why do say it does not work.

We have installed the 3.4.1 on a master website and also deploy it into a slave site with success.

Can you give more detail on the problem and the procedure to reproduce it.

We also tried to install a 3.2.1 in the master, after install the 3.4.1 and finally install the 3.4.1 into a slave with the JMS Tool. This was also successfull.

I install 3.4.1 on the master website and save the configuration files in SermonSpeaker as it asks me to do. After that, I go to Multisites where it tells me that there are files that need to be patched.

I click Check Patches and see that almost all of the patches are labeled "Not OK" now.

I click Installed and get the following messages:

"Error during installation of the file "administrator/components/com_sermonspeaker/controller.php""

"One or more backup file is missing. The original file(s) can not be restored."

I want to update you on what I found out:

As of version 3.40 Sermon Speaker was re-organized using the current Joomla MVC pattern.

I remove all of the references to Sermon Speaker in the multisites patch_collection.php and found that it now installs to Slave sites without any trouble.

Can you confirm? Maybe this component really doesn't need to be patched now!

In the JMS Multisites patch definition 1.2.39, we have modified the patch definition for the Sermon Speaker extension.
As mentionned above we confirm that this new Sermon Speaker 3.4.1 does not require a patch anymore.
Therefore when JMS detect a specific pattern is present, it assume this is an older Sermon Speaker in which it perform the patch. Otherwise when a specific pattern is not found, it ignores the patch
