Hi - this looks like exactly what I need for running multiple sites.
One question I have is regarding virtuemart and whether you can share just a portion (ie certain products/categories) of a virtuemart install on a slave site. My client has a main site that sells all of their products and then another site that sells only a portion of their products.

If you share the extension VirtueMart between website, this mean that you share ALL the records of all the tables used by VirtueMart.
Therefore this share all the products between the websites.

The sharing of extensions present in JMS Multisites consists in sharing the MySQL tables.
Therefore you can not decide which record (products) that must be shared.

We have experimented such speicific product sharing for a customer but we do not provide such kind of sharing in standard because we are not sure this working perfectly and we do not want to provide support in this forum for such feature.

We did that with billable support and if you want to take the risk, I suggest that you order our billable support to see how to configure your environement to only share the VM product tables.
