I'm looking to enable front-end created SOBI directories using JMS over several local communities (a separate directory for a city for instance), that then aggregate up at a national level.

What is the best way to aggregate that data up on to a national site? Or is there another solution that would work better? Sharing the db tables for instance, filtering the data for each local community based on a site id for instance.

Any suggestions?

there is no miracle solution.
You can effectivelly decide to create slave site that share SOBI2 and filter the data based on an additional field that could be computed based on the "site id".

Or have indepdent SOBI2 and later merge the information from different websites.

In both cases, that probably require specific development.
I don't know if in SOBI2 you can filter thing automatically.
