I want to run different banners within the hwdVideoShare component each of my websites so I am not sharing hwdRevenueManager and created separate table within the same database.

The issue is that hwdRevenueManager generates a single configuration file that contains all the banner info such as the location of the banner and the type of banner and any custom banner code. The config file is generated from the table values in the db. The config file for videoshare component is called config.vs.hwdrevenuemanager.php. There are 2 more config files, 1 for photos and 1 for longtail ads.

The front end component doesnt actually query the db, it simply reads this config file. This config file is generated when you update banners in the backend admin area or even if you just open the banner admin application. Therefore if you go into slave site A and add banners or simply view your banners the config file is generated containing slave site A banner info. Then all websites now show the banners defined for slave site A. If you access slave site B which has different banners defined the config file is regenerated (and overwritten) bow with all slave site B banner info. Now all websites (including slave site A) display the banners defined for site B.

When you actually define your banners in the admin area and save, all the db tables with the appropriate prefix are updated correctly. The problem is the single config file that is generated based on the last website that you accessed in the admin area. Do you have a solution for this problem?

I have perfectly understood your problem and and I don't have any immediate solution for it.
As you have noticed the configuration of this extension is saved on the disk and therefore is shared between all the websites.

To fix this problem, it is required to modify the code of this extension to make its configuration specific to each website when this extension is not shared.
So, this required a specific development to implement a patch for this extension.
This may take several days (or weeks) to find a solution that will both work in case of sharing and also when this extension is independent to each websites.

We have reviewed this extension to see if it could be possible to deliver a patch but it seems that create a such patch require to rewrite a lot of code in this extension.

We have tried to post a message in the forum of this company but it was rejected.
We suppose that we have to buy their product to be able post a message or be in touch with their developper.

We do not understand why this extension start to save its configuration in the database and after export the configuration into a file on disk.
Later this "unqique" configuration file is read and this is the issue.
We do not understand why they have exported the configuration that is present in the DB rather than to read directly the configuration from the DB.

Change the behavior of this extension to remove the configuration saving into a file and replace the include of this configuration file by a read from the DB is a task that require to change a lot of code in their extension.

Our objective is NOT to rewrite this extension.
We would prefer that this company modify directly the way they manage the configuration to avoid using a file on the disk.

If somebody can ask the developer of this company to contact us, we could explained what we propose.

I will give it a shot and ask them to contact you. Do you know of another video component or have other ideas that would allow similar banner advertising integrated with video in a multisite configuration with separate tables?

FYI, moreless one week ago, we had received a contact from the developer of this extension to whom we have explained the our proposal.
We have no more received any reply concerning our modification proposal.
We were ready to develop a prototype of the change in their extension to help them understand what they should change to be more compatible.

So if you succed to make them working together on the solution, we are ready to contribute with them to the enhancement.
