TOPIC: Slave language

Hi,
I just installed JMS 1.2 on Joomla 1.7.3.
I installed Italian translation and Master site is now set to italian.
However Slave site is still in english.
I first tried to re-install italian translation on the slave site, but I get:
"This extension is not found in the master site."

Then I searched the forum and found the suggestion to discover extension from Extension Manager, but I get:
"No extensions have been discovered. Click Discover to find new extensions that might be available for install."

Apart from italian translation (which I downloaded from here: www.joomla.it/component/rokdownloads/dow...iana-joomla-1-7.html) there are few more extensions that don't get discovered.

I installed slave site this way:
- create new slave from Multisite control panel
- I just setup slave directory and Domain names. No directory mapping of folder customization
- went to the new site and installed Joomla as usual on a new empty database

Thank you.

If you mean the Italian translation of Joomla, I found it at www.joomla.it

Se intendi la traduzione italiana di Joomla, l'ho trovata sul sito www.joomla.it , sotto Download.

Ciao

When you install JMS, it contains a zip with the original "installation" directory in english.

If you want to use your own "installation" directory that you have in the joomla that you had initially installed, you can do it.

Restore the "/installation" that is present in the joomla italian distribution.
In general, most of person remove the "/installation" directory as recommended by joomla.
This is the reason why we package JMS with a zip of the english "installation" directory to be able restore it. But you can use your own installation directory in your own language. In general, it is better that you use your own installation in your language.

Once you have have restored you own installation directory, you will have to "check the patches" again to let JMS install a patch in your installation directory.
