You mentioned that you want to create website with "fresh kunena" and in the same time that you want to share the JomSocial users.
So I suggest that you create website with the following architecture.
+ Users
+ Fresh Kunena
+ Subsites
The "users" website should be installed with JomSocial and will be used to store the users.
Create a "kunena" website sharing the "users" like explain in the video 16
Install the kunena forum in the "kunena" site.
Once you have the "kunena" website that is sharing the users, you can use this one to build the subsites.
So you have to create a "fresh slave" for the "users" website
Install JomSocial on the "users"
Create a JMS Template rule to build the "kunena" website like illustrated in the video 16
Install Kunena
Create a JMS Template rule to build the "subsites"
