Share everything except joomla template 13 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi All,

I want to have a master site and a slave site sharing identical information except for the front end joomla template.

Which slave creation procedure do I follow to achieve this?

thanks

If you want to share everything and including the DB content, you have to select "share the whole website" check box or create a slave site that use the same DB name and same table prefix.

See also the video CP-05 that show how to have a specific "/templates" directory.

Were you able to set this up (sharing everything except Joomla template)? If so, could you describe how you did it? I'm trying to do the same thing, but so far haven't been able to figure it out exactly.

Click on the "share whole site" checkbox and defined a rule in the "folders and file" where you specific that the "templates" directory is a "copy" action.
