Installation issue of the slave site. 13 Years, 7 Months ago Karma: 0
Hey all,

I am getting this error always. All I am trying to do is make a replica of the master site.

Notice: Undefined index: QUERY_STRING in /hermes/bosweb/web039/b399/ipg.localfitfinder/subdomains/cities/master/libraries/joomla/environment/uri.php on line 161

What might be the problem??

Thanks,
Bharath

First the message is a "Notice" that just report that Joomla try to access a field that does not exists.

If you want to remove this "notice" message, you have to add a test in joomla (not in JMS) to verify that the field exists before trying to get its value.

This peace of code is processed by Joomla when it suppose runing on IIS environment.

Which Joomla version and which language are you using ?

If you want to be sure that you are using the same "Joomla Installation" directory of your joomla then you can restore the installation directory from your own joomla zip (or tar.gz) distribution.
Jms will patch your "/installation" directory instead of restoring one from a Joomla zip file.

Perhaps this will fix your problem.

I am using Joomla 1.5.23 and english.

I did what you told me, i.e use the installation from the zip file and jms multi sites patched it.

But I am still having the same error.

Thanks.

On which kind of server are you runing ?
Linux apache ?
Window IIS ? (If yes, which version).

This warning is a joomla warning message and not a JMS one.
If you want to ignore this warning message, you can add a test to verify that "QUERY_STRING" exists but I am not convinced this will solve your problem as this is a warning message and not a fatal error.

Perhaps you could have a look in Joomla bug tracker to see if you have info concerning this case.

If you want that we investigating on your server, this is also possible with our billable support that you can order at
