Starting a new multisite (but it doesnt work(yet)) 13 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello experts,

I'm trying to create a new website but when i go to the "deployed" url i'm redirected to the main website. There is no requesting for installation

Main website: stichting.aight.nu
Created multiwebsite: stichting.aight.nu/H3C

After creating I received this message that's saying its was succesful:

The site 'H3C' is deployed.
- You can now map your new domain (stichting.aight.nu/H3C) to the directory
'/var/www/vhosts/aight.nu/subdomains/stichting/httpdocs/multisites/H3C'.
- When the DNS will be updated with your new domain (perhaps you have to wait 24 hours),
you will can go to your new domain and Joomla will request you a new installation (as usual).
- Please use a new db prefix for each site and NEVER use 'jos' as prefix or if you want to keep 'jos' as prefix, create as many databases than you have sites.

The goal is to create websites that can use the same data from the main webpage, such as Articles, joomgallery and events.

I'm hoping you can help us!

The potential problem is the location where you deployed the slave site.
If the stichting.aight.nu is the master.
Then the deploy directory should be {root}/H3C

I think you deployed your H3C on a wrong directory.
I seems that you used {site_dir} in the deployed directory.
In this case, the domain must be {site_url}/multisites/{site_id}

If you are trying to create your first slave site.
Why don't you used the tutorial video 9 and copy exactly the same value that are provided.

The Sample values described in the video are:

* Site ID = slave1
* Domain name = {site_url}/multisites/{site_id}
* Deploy directory = {site_dir}

Here it seems that you are defining a JMS Templates in which I don't see the "deployed directory" defined as it seems to be empty.
The deployed directory must be in line with the domain name.
As told you in my previous reply,
if the domain is stichting.aight.nu/h3c
then the deploy directory must be {root}/h3c

I give you parameters that you just have to copy paste.
The {root} is a keyword that you can have the explaination when you put your cursor on the yellow light.

If you want that I setup your environment, I have a billable support that you can order at
www.jms2win.com/en/joomla-multisite?page...35&category_id=1

I have already replied with all the value.
Start to do a copy/paste
