In the master things worked great as far as I can tell. I "Site Manager" and create a new site, but when I link to the site all I get is a white page and the Install does not run.

Not sure what to try next....

Blank or white page is the symptom of a PHP syntax error.
Check for example that you don't have a "error_log" present in your website that would give you more information concerning the origin of the error.

Perhaps you have to check that you have correct permission on the files and folders.
You could for example check that you can access a "hello.txt" file that you put in the slave site directory to verifty that you provide the correct URL.
Also try to do the same with the "installation" directory.

If you are using a ".htaccess", perhaps you have to check if you have a "Rewrite base" active.
