TOPIC: Fresh installation using Akeeba backup?

Fresh installation using Akeeba backup? 14 Years, 1 Month ago Karma: 0
Hi,

I have created a new site and installed all the components, modules etc. that I want to
use.

- made a backup of the site with Akeeba.
- moved and installed it, with Akeeba, to my "master" site
- kept the installation dir as instructed
- installed JMS

Can I now make a "fresh" install from this master using the Akeeba installation ?

At my knowledge, you can NOT perform a fresh installation with Akeeba as you need to share the same Joomlla installation.

Create slave site is done using JMS Multisites "manage site".

Event if you just try restoring a DB, you may have inconsistencies with the PHP code.
