TOPIC: Slave Site Admin Menus Not Working
#5578
Slave Site Admin Menus Not Working 13 Years, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
I've created a slave site and when I log into the slave site administration, none of the Joomla dropdown menus are working. The buttons are working (such as add new article), but when I go into one of those sections, I often can't get back to the main admin screen because all menus aren't working.

Also - when I'm in a section such as Global Config, ALL three sections (site, system, server) are showing at once, rather than in tabs. These two problems are probably related.

I'm using an apache on linux system.

I found the answer. The menu dropdowns and other things are controlled by the mootools js in the /media directory. When I created the slave site, I created a new empty /media directory, which of course didn't have mootools in it. I recreated the slave site with a symbolic link to the master /media directory, and now it works.
