TOPIC: SOBI 2 images folder
#4353
SOBI 2 images folder 14 Years, 7 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello Edwin,
I have the next problem, I have 5 sites and the masterdomain:
masterdomain.com
sudomain1.com, sudomain2.com, sudomain3.com, sudomain4.com and sudomain5.com everyone has an independent images folder
I have SOBI2 installed on sudomain1.com, sudomain3.com and sudomain4.com
But if from sudomain1.com try to upload any images to SOBI2 it upload the image to masterdomain.com/images/SOBI2/clients instead from sudomain1.com/images/SOBI2/clients this error repeats on the others sudomain.
How can I solve it? Thanks and regards

Do you have setup the slave site to share the "/images" directory or have you put specific "/images" directory.
If you decided to share the "/images" directory, this is normal that all the subdomain save their info into this shared "/images" directory.

Review the JMS Templates / Files and folder action associated to the "/images".
Becarefull that when a slave site is already created, JMS does not modify the current "/images" directory or link. If that was a link that you want to convert into a physical directory, you have to delete (or rename) the link manually before applying the change.

I put a specific images directory on all the subdomain. Because that every website have their own images and images/com_sobi2 folder
But the subdomain try to put the images on master images folder instead to their own folder.
(The other things like media manager works fine)

You have specified a subdirectory in the "/images" and not create a full "/images" directory for each subdomain.

In JMS, you have to ask copy the "/images" directory because most of the extension have hardcoded the "/images" directory path and does not use the parameters present in the "global configuration".

Yes I put a full images folder on every subdomain(not a subfolder from images). Each website has is own full image folder
sudomain1.com/images
sudomain2.com/images
sudomain3.com/images
And doesn't exists sym links on these folders, they are independent from master site

So if SOBI2 images are stored in the images directory and that you have effectivelly created physical speciifc images directory, you should have the images stored in this directory if your subdomain is correctly configured with the "subdomainX" directory.

I just doubt that you have physical directory for each subdomain.
If you are using cPanel and the file manager to see the directory, it will not display you any difference between a physical directory and a link.

If you want that we have a look directly on your server, this is possible with our billable support that you can order at
