Permission issues when creating slave sites 14 Years, 9 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi Edwin,

In my JMS-implemetation I've bumped into a new issue. The new created slave sites directories don't have the correct permissions.

In my JMS template I have the following 2 issues:

1) The "cache" directory has the only available option "mkdir: Create folder". This directory is created as read-only, but I want it to be writable. Is that something I can control via JMS?

2) I gave the "image" directory the option "special copy". The original images-directory has (recursive) 777 permissions. When I create my slave site the permissions have changed to 755 for newly created image-directory and its subdirectories. In the JMS-file "multisites.cfg.php" we've put the option "define( 'MULTISITES_DIR_RIGHTS', 0777);" but this not seem to work. Any idea's?

Thanks in advance,
Tom

The "MULTISITES_DIR_RIGHTS" is used to create the "parent" directory and the "/multiisites" directory.
Not for the other directories.

I will notice that as a new requirements.

If you want to change the permission, the only solution that I see is using the "front-end" website functionality that allow execute addition PHP code when creating a website.
In this case, you need to buy website quota to customize and execute additional script.
So you could add a "chmod" dynamically.

See the front-end website creation "menu" and the "deploy ok" field.
