is there a way we can share users for the master to slave it.

our master site has around 100 users and i even shared Jom Social through the tools menu.
but still nothing.

we are running two different sites in the same Database with different prefix.

thanks in advance.

Edwin,

i went through this video and saw the following:

1. main site:
2. slave site
2a. and 2 b are other children sites.

in this we are able to share users through slave site to children site.
but how to share users from main site to slave site???

In the video 16, we show how to share the users with a "slave1" website.
For that we have created a rule in JMS template that make reference to "slave1".
So change the rule to share the master website instead of the "slave1".

Edwin, one problem with that video is that it only shows you how to set up sites on the same domain. There isn't a video or tutorial showing how to do this with two different domains. This would be very helpful. I believe most are probably setting up separate domains than anything else.

You just have to provide another "domain" in the list of domain.
I just remember also that Single Sign-In is not available when using different domains.
Only the users are shared and they will have to re-login with the same login and password.

The key element is the configuration of your HTTP server and know which directory is associated to the domain.
So all depends the HTTP administration tool (cPanel, Godaddy, ...)
Once you are able to define or describe the relationship between a domain name and its location on the disk, you can define the JMS templat rule according this relationship.
