Hi Edwin,

I added Sobi2 to my master after I had created several slaves and then installed it on each of the slave sites. I went to the Master site and Edited the Template to Share Sobi2. I then selected one of the slave sites as the site to replicate in the template and created a new slave site. Sobi2 did not copy nor did it share.

I then went to the Master and noticed that all of the slave sites said they needed to be synchronized so I opened the first slave and saved it and received the following errors:

When you install a new extensiion in the master or other "parent" website of a slave site, this is normal that you have the refresh that is shown to inform you that you have create a website based on another one and that it is not syncrhonized in terms of extension installed.

Concerning the Symbolic Link error, this probably mean that you have for example a physical directory present in the "deploy folder" that does not allow to create the symbolic link
OR
that you don't have the permission to create the symbolic link in the deploy folder.
Perhaps you could check the chmod or the owner/group of the slave site directory to be sure that you can create symbolic link in this directory.
OR
You have an "open_basedir" value that restrict the directories where you can access.

I'll check Edwin, can you tell me what the permissions should be in the deploy folder? Thanks again!

The permission should be identical to the one of your current joomla files (owner/group) and also the chmod.

All depends your system.
Sometimes this is different because your HTTP server use another user to create the file.

You can also try doing a chmod 777 to check if it works.
