Help needed
I am using cpanel my ftp account is setup to the root of my hosting account.
Ex. /home/xxxxx/public_html/master
The master folder is where my master joomla site is install
Now I want to install my main slave site in the root of my hostin account located here
/home/thebluel/public_html/
Every time I try I get error
Example -1 - An error has occurred.
Unable to create target folder
Some of the files are however save there but no installation files if I got to the domain no install.
I can on create a salve site if its in a subfolder of where the master site is located.

i created a template rule then try creating the slave site now i get this error

In this error message, you see that you are using JFTP that means that you have enabled the Joomla FTP Layer.
It seems that you have not correctly setup the FTP Layer as it is not allowed to create directory with your FTP user and password provided to joomla.

Check the FTP parameters in the Global Configuration.

Review also the tutorial video 15 that show how to setup the FTP Layer.

You can test your FTP parameter with an external FTP tool and re-use exactly the same parameter than the one that you have provided to Joomla.
When you have the FTP logged, check that the path you have provided to Joomla is correct and if you can create directory like "tmp"

this is impossible.

it is not possible to create you master site in a subdirectory then create you main slave site in the root of your site.

ex. www.domainname.com/master -----> master
www.domainname.com ------> main slave site

this is not at all possible.

turned ftp layer off seems to worked at getting all the files to the root but get this error and and white screen

ok deleted and started over again back to post #1997 this is not possible if ftp layer is enable you can how ever create the slave site if ftp layer is disable but you get error in post #1998 i this we have a bug or something what time zone are you in edwin do you have yahoo messenger i will wait up all night to chat with you need to get this working. but i want o learn how to use this program paying you to do it helps me in no way other than it get done i learn nothing.
