When there is an upgrade of an extension that impact the MySQL table layout, you have to re-install the extension in the slave site to allow the extension applying the DB modification.
Concerning Joomla itself, there is now in Joomla 2.5 a new "extension manager" / database / fix button that allow to fix the DB layout when there are upgrade.
You have to re-apply the procedure in each slave site to fix the DB layout.

I'm getting the same thing with a template I installed. I know it is installed in the master as I can use it but in the slave it is telling me it cannot be installed as its not in the master. The template installs extensions and some other items. The link to what I have installed is below. Any help would be great as I'm new to Joomla.

If you are not able to install the extension in the slave site and that you have a message that report that it does not exists in the master, this mean that it DOES NOT EXISTS.
Recently some authors, have developed their own installer to replace the joomla installer and use a temporary or fake installer to install the final extension.
When they proceed like that, when they finish to install the final extension, the remove the "temporary" installer.
In this case, this is normal that you can not install them from a slave site as they have removed their "temporary" installer.
This is the case of "no number" but recently also from Rocket Themes that can no more be installed from a slave site. In the case of Rocket Themes, they also does NOT allow to discover the extension from the standard joomla 2.5.
So report any issue concerning such behavior to the author of the extension as this is a consequence of trying bypass the standard joomla installer.
