TOPIC: Uploading images to slave.

Uploading images to slave. 12 Years, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi Edwin

I made 2 more slave sites yesterday. Everything seemed ok until on the last one I went to change the logo image. It's just a plain custom html module so I went there and then add image and upload.

However, when the image was uploaded it just showed a hyperlinked image name and file size. No image.

I redid the image on my pc and even uploaded some other images....all with the same result.

I thought then it might be the joomla upload (as I could insert images already present in the directory without any problem.

So I uploaded via the file firectory in cpanel. Viewed the image in cpanel.fine

Doesn't view anywhere in the site though.

I've never had this issue before and wonder if there's something gone wrong with this slave in the creation process? It might not be multisite issue at all...it's just my initial line of enquiry!

Cheers

Paul

All I can suggest is to verify step by step where the images is store when you upload it and after verify the HTML source generated to verify the link to the images file.

I suppose that you use the Joomla image manager to upload the image.
Which joomla version do you use ?

After that you have uploaded the images, it is stored in the correct /images/..... directory

Verify also if you share the /images directory or if you have specific /images directory for each slave site.
Does the /images directory in the slave site is a Symbolic Link or a copy of the master /images
