Are any CDN's compatible with JMS? 12 Years, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi Edwin,

I'm looking into installing either jomCDN or CDN for Joomla to speed up my page load times.

Can you please confirm if JMS is compatible with a CDN? If so, what plugin provider would you suggest?

Thanks and regards.

CDN stands for a Content Delivery Network. It allows you to synchronise selected files and folders with CDN providers around the world. This is supposed to speed up your website because these files are then served by the server closest to you.

An example of a CDN provider is Amazon S3 with Amazon CloudFront.

You can install a CDN plugin from Nonumber for free and there is also a tutorial about how to set this up on the plugin page.

I didn't really think it would work with JMS because of the symoblic links however I was just wondering if there was a way around this.

Thanks and regards.

Concerning Amazon S3, we have very few customers (2 or 3) who use it.
I don't know how it works in the background.

Concerning the CDN plugin, I don't know an never tested it.
