I want to congratulate to you developers of Joomla for your work.

I have only this "single signin" question:


As I said some weeks ago
I had to make a minimum decent working site with some extensions installed.

After that I decided to improve the structure of the site dividing it into
Master and 2 Slaves with only essentials tasks.

I installed jms multisite 1.2.73 on the new J2.51 upgrade for J1.73

All is running well and users are shared, except I have to re-login when I switch from master to slave site.
The problem does not exist when I use full path direct access sintax instead of using subdomain url sintax.

Do I have to install also the plugin SSIdomain?

If your websites are using different subdomain of a same domain, you can setup the joomla global configuration with a "cookie domain" that is (dot) .domain.com.
When you enter .something, this mean in apache wildcard subdomains.

Remark, this solution does not work when you have the suhosin apache module installed and enabled.

When using website with different domain, in this case the "SSI Domain" can effectivelly be your solution.

I am trying first to get the site in a fairly stable configuration
turning around as much as possible to these issues.

The 2 slaves-site purpose is just
to split theirs data (articles and categories)
away from the master site data .
