I have duplicated a site using a slave sub domain for joomla 1.5. These sites are exactly the same and are using the same database...

I need to have them in two different languages. Can someone assist me or lead me in the right direction on solving this issue or the best way to go about this matter.

You need to install all the languages in the master website.
After that, in each slave site, you will be able to select the default language in the back-end
