The concept of JMS is based on the sharing and not on the synchronization that suppose that you duplicate the data.
So if you want to share the content of an extension, you can have a look in the tutorial video 16 for the concept.

Concerning AdsManager, it can be shared under Joomla 1.5.
We never received a version for Joomla 1.6 or 1.7.
