TOPIC: Is this possible with JMS

Is this possible with JMS 13 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
We have a directory of health providers built on a Joomla 1.6 site.

The business directory is built in SOBI PRO directory component.

We have access to 50 websites that belong to other health providers that are all hosted on separate domains and by separate web hosts.

We would like to install a clone of our Joomla Business Directory in each of these 50 other health care sites.

So if our site is at:

www.healthcareproviders.com

Could we, using JMS install a clone or slave version of our site in each of the 50 health care provider sites in a directory, such as

www.localprovider/clonedsite/

Then by adding a new listing in the master site, it is instantly available on all the slave sites?

Thanks

The concept of JMS multisite is based on sharing the same Joomla installation (PHP code).

So if your 50 websites are hosted by differents servers then NO jms can not help you.

If your 50 websites are slave site under JMS Multisites then YES you could create additional clone of any websites declared in JMS.

Your requirement seems more close to a "backup/restore" processing to mirror a site than sharing a same joomla to create several websites.

JMS is based on sharing to avoid duplicate the data that would have to be synchronized.
Sharing means that the data is present only once.
JMS does not contain anything to perform "synchronization".
