jms multisites works well, but documentation is sparse on how to integrate it into an architecture containing separate development and production environments

if I have a development environment and a production environment both running separate instances of multisites, i can't seem to figure out a way to manage releases from development to production

akeeba backup will back up all sites, not just the one site i want to migrate, so i can't just do a backup/restore

Anyone have experience using deploying specific sites within a multisite installation?

Basically, I have sites A and B in development and sites A and B in production. If I want to update sites A and B, then push only site B, how can I do so without also pushing site A?

Any help is much appreciated!
