When looking for a way to build and manage slave sites, I came across your product. This prompted me to install Joomla and begin learning how to use it. This was 3 months ago. Since that time I have become familiar with Joomla and I have watched your videos many times as well as read the printed material. I feel I am ready to make this purchase.

This is my first task: I want to created a slave site which will act as a template.

The slave site needs to be completely separate from the Master site. This slave site will act as a master (Template).

I want to be able to create slave sites from the new template, which will share everything from the template ie. images, content, extensions.

However I need to be able to edit each new slave site from the new template without it effecting any of the other sites.

Can you confirm I will be able to do this and second can you provide a simple starting point as to which options i should use to achieve my goal?

Thank you, Jay

Yes you can do that.

You will start to create a fresh slave site that you will use a JMS template.
After that, you need to create another rule like in video CP05 to allow creating other websites with specific "/images" and "/templates" directory. So that you other slave site derived of the previous one will be able to change the joomla template and images without affecting the "parent" website.

So yes this is possible
