NEED SO MUCH HELP, I AM LOST!! 13 Years, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi,
i have just bough JMS but i really lost in the configuarions, and i didn't find any answer here at the forum.

This is what i want:
I have a site www.myglowcigs.com and i need to replicate it exactely because i will start to work to SPAIN in my business. I neew a replica of my slave site but i want the slave site to be completely independent from the slave, since i have to make translations in articles and images.

Also i want virtuemarte in slave to be completely independent from the slave. Don't want to share users, and i need the virtuemarte order to be completely independent from the master, since i will have a new administrator for the slave site in spain. Well it's simple, same product but two diferent companies runimg independentely.

I created a template with copy of master, used a new DB created in my provider, and the final result was, everytime i made a change in one article only the master was changed, none modificatiosn are made in slave, even if i have diferent site names on global configuration.

I am confused, can anybody help concerning what i need to my business?

Thank you so much

If you want to replicate an existing website, you need to create a Jms Template rule.

For example, in the video 0.d, we show a rule that consists in the replication of the master website "replicMaster".
www.jms2win.com/en/tutorial#jms12x-0d,

You have a similar scenarion in the video 16 that show how to replicate a slave site and in the same time share the users.
www.jms2win.com/en/tutorial#jms12x-16

So create a JMS template rule where you select the "template site" that you want to replicate.

I suggest that you start replicating the master as shown in the video 0.d.
It replicates in the same DB.
When you will be have successfully created the clone, change the rule to provide another DB parameters.
