Just getting to grips with this... I have a quick question...

Do I need to setup a domain to map to a slave site? Can I not access it using the development URL?

For example, my site URL is like:
12.34.56.78/~mysite/

We wont assign a domain name immediately, not until development of site is finished. So can I not access the site using:


12.34.56.78/~mysite/multisites/test1/ (this gives blank page) OR
12.34.56.78/~mysite/test1 (this gives not found)

Done worry about this, I have created a sub-domain for the main website domain, then can do sub-domains of sub-domains for the test sites.

Normally, you can use IP and subdirectories.
If you have a blank page, this can be due to a Fatal Error somewhere.
If you are using cPanel, you can sometimes find more info in the "error_log" file and give you information on the reason of the error.
Perhaps a file permission error.
