TOPIC: Compatibility with Mosets Tree
#5732
Compatibility with Mosets Tree 14 Years, 1 Month ago Karma: 0
This is a pre-sales question. I am hoping to use the extension with Mosets Tree and already ran a search in the forum to find only one reference to Mosets Tree. Unfortunately, this was not an explicit compatibility statement.

Does anyone know if JMS works with Mosets Tree both in the front and back-end?

Yes Mosets Tree is defined in JMS Multisites.
See the list of extension here

What is the correct approach? Should one deploy

1. deploy all the necessary components, modules, plugins, and then install JMS or
2. deploy JMS on a bare Joomla install and then install the components, modules and plugins.

Both approch is possible.

As you have to isntall all the extension in the master, you can start to install your joomla with all the extension and not specific data.
After install JMS Multisites that will be your repository of all the extension required for your slave sites.
See the tutorial video 0.b slide 21-24 for a proposed architecture.

Hey all, thanks for the replies. I ended up purchasing Mosets Tree. Since I was replacing other directory scripts with it, I needed it to conform to certain URL schema so I ended up purchasing SH404SEF in addition.

Now my question is, will a combination of Mosets Tree and SH404SEF work with JMS? I can see that Mosets Tree can be installed and shared, however SH404SEF only shows installed but not shared.

What does it exactly mean that it can not be shared? Would that prevent it from being using in any site other than the main or does it mean that it needs to be installed individually in each copy?

Thanks.

Mosets Tree is normally defined for the sharing. It was introduced in Jms Multisites patches definition 1.2.04.

Concerning sh404SEF, it is just defined for the installation and can not be shared.
That mean that each website will have its own SH404SEF rules.
