Google Analytics module help 14 Years, 1 Month ago Karma: 0
I have created the analytics script on google and inserted it just above the </head> tag on my master site template.
With the GA module when I create the script for a slave site do I just copy the individual code contained in the script and place it in the module and then the module will replace it in the template? Or do I need to make a placeholder for the code in the template within the script? Not sure I am following how the GA Module replaces the code within the template?

Thanks,

Tony

Just go in the joomla extension / modules menu and enter the code in the back-end.
Also choice the position of the module if you want to install it at be begining of the page or in the bottom of the page.

Personnally, I installed the module in the footer.

So you dohn't even have to install the script from google? Just the smaller code?

Your instructions are very vague!

Do I still place the script above the /heading tag?

Is the script included within your module?

When you go to www.google.com/analytics it creates way more than just that small snippet of code you refer to in your instructions to place within your module.

This is perfectly clear.
Nowhere I have put a script.

Just put the domain EQUAL the google analytic code.
