Hi Edwin
you probably answered this question many times so i apologize upfront.
i want to create a social site using some of the following:
community builder
sobi2 + SOBI review & ratings x 2 instances (one for classified ads, one for directory)
kunena or agora message board
there will be other components too like JEvents etc
say i have x number of sites that each have their own members registered using CB. I would like all sites to have access to and able to post on the message board and the SOBI components (global). The balance of the site if restricted to the individual site users so site 1 users cant login and go onto site 2 components that require their specific registration. ie they cant go to other sites JEvents and add event if they are not registered to that specific site. However they can view of course.
so if they login in to their respective sites, they dont have to login in again to access message board or sobi2. also since theses components are global i dont have to update X numbe of individual sobi components for each site everytime i add a new entry in sobi or if the users post an new SOBI ad entry it will be available for all to see besides just local site.
i am also thinking of using a templateplazza template but their isnt much info on this board on how compatible their system is. I previously inquired about old rockettheme templates and they seem to be fine so i may stick to that if need be.
Is this possible using JMS?
thanks!

NO.
What you request is that you decide for each user on which website it has the access.
With JMS, to share the users this conisists in sharing the MySQL tables between the different websites.
Therefore you share all the records (all the users) with their privileges.
So if you want that a customer be able to access different websites with the same login to post message in forum, manage events, ... then you will automatically provide the access to all the websites for which you have decided to share all the users.
JMS does not provide any Access Control system.
Concerning the templateplaza, I don't know. Perhaps you could send us this template in attachement of an email to allow us have on look on it.

Thanks Edwin,
so for the portion of the site that has the SOBI directory that i ad advertisers to in the back end, this should still be a viable product than? for this particular use, i would like to update the directory for advertisers every now and than so that i dont have to go to multiple websites to update Joe's Pizza Shack individually? no one else is allowed to do this so there is no permissions conflict indicated as above so it doesnt deal with any user issues.
I will send over template plazza attachment separately as i will be purhcasing it shortly. thanks
