Site upgrade 14 Years, 7 Months ago

Hello,
I am trying to upgrade my Multi-site software on the master site so I can upgrade Joomla. I followed the instructions on how to upgrade the Multi-site software. The FAQs say to uninstall the patches. I did this and now I get:
Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL
in both the frontend and backend.
I checked the configuration.php file and it has the correct information for the database connection.
What do I need to do in order to get the site working again?
The site was running Joomla 1.5.15 and Multi-site 1.2.23. Before I uninstalled the patches, the site was working fine and had no problem connecting to the database.
Thank you.

The connection to the DB is performed with "configuration.php".
So if you Joomla says that it can not connect, that means that you have an error in the DB parameters. So check again that everything is spelled correctly.
Check all the parameters (host, db, user, password).
When you uninstall the JMS patches, this restore the "configuration.php" file that was present at the moment you install JMS.

Hello,
Thanks, the configuration file, had the wrong password in it. I didn't realize that the configuration file was patched and restored.
Thank you for your help.
