TOPIC: Layouts in Site Manager

Layouts in Site Manager 14 Years, 10 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi Edwin,
Just finished upgrading to latest Site version and patches and noticed that we now have a "Layouts" tab. Can you explain the purpose? I've not seen anything posted here in the forum or in the manual for this.
Thanks, Dan

Layout menu is new and designed to import future layout for the front-end.
For the moment, we are preparing layouts that will allow for example display the list of available websites form the front-end that could be used by "anonymous" users.

When you create a website from the front-end, now you can select which layout you want to use for the front-end.

We expect to propose different layout and the first one is the possibility to display the list of slave site created from the front-end for a specific group.
This would allow displaying all the websites created by your customers or for exampple provide the list of websites for a specific location (country, city, country, ....) depending on the groups;

The idea is to propose several themes (layouts) for the websites creation and list of websites created from the front-end.

When you create a menu item "multisites", now you have the possibility to select a front end layout.
For example we have provided a "black" layout that is more beautifull than the default one.
We have chosen the black because we thing it can be appropriate with any themes (templates).
